February 2018

Dear Parents,

As a reminder, we will follow Murray County School System on closures (not delays) during inclement weather.  We will post it on this website, our Facebook group page and on the school answering machine (if there is power).  It will also be listed on Chattanooga News Channel 9.

Attention: If your child has a fever, do not give them medicine and send them on to school.  Keep them at home.  They should be fever free (without medicine) for 24 hours before returning to school.0

Chili Supper tickets are on sale now!  All ticket money or unsold tickets must be turned in Friday, February 23rd.  This year’s supper will be on Saturday, March 10th from 5-7 p.m.

School will be closed on Monday, February 19th for Presidents Day.

We will be receiving a special offering on Wednesday, February 21st for “Pennies for Patients” which is the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  Everything you give will go to this cause. (does not have to be just pennies)

Our 6th-12th grade students will be attending the “Jubilee on the Hill” at Philadelphia Baptist Church in Calhoun, GA on Thursday, February 22nd.

We have field trips planned for K-5th on Thursday, March 1st and for 6th-12th on Thursday, March 8th.  Permission slips have either already came home (K-5th) or will be coming home in the next few days (6th-12th) with all the details.

Upcoming Dates:

Our next PTF Meeting will be Monday, March 19th at 7:30 p.m.

All banquet dresses must be approved by Thursday, March 22nd.

Banquet Dues must be paid by Wednesday, March 28th.

School will be closed on Friday, March 30th for Good Friday.

School will be closed April 2-6 for Spring Break.

Our Senior Banquet will be Saturday, April 21st at 6:00 p.m.

Graduation Uniform inspection will be Wednesday, April 25th.

Lake Winnie Day will be Friday, May 11th.

Thank you to all of those who have already helped with paper supplies this year.  This is an ongoing need so any help will be greatly appreciated. (paper plates, paper towels, toilet paper etc.)

P. Johns
